'DUNKIRK' the Movie

'Dunkirk' will be released in theatres on July 21, 2017. Director Christopher Nolan has assembled a number of notable names for his upcoming (and first) war movie, chief among them being Kenneth Branagh, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance and Harry Styles.

Also starring a number of the Association's Little Ships including Hilfranor, Nyula, Elvin, Papillon, MTB102, Caronia, Mary Jane, Endeavour, New Britannic, Mimosa, RIIS I and Princess Elizabeth.

H.M. Queen’s Official 90th Birthday River Parade on the Thames - Saturday 11th June, 2016

The Association has been invited to support H.M. Queen’s Official 90th Birthday River Parade on the River Thames.

Organisers of the H.M. Queen’s Official 90th Birthday River Parade are working with Lord Sterling’s office arranging one of the landmark events to mark H.M. Queen’s Official 90th Birthday on Saturday 11th June 2016. This is to take the form of a River Parade on the Thames in central London, similar to that in 2012 marking the Diamond Jubilee, but on a very much smaller scale.

THE ST KATHARINE DOCKS CLASSIC BOAT FESTIVAL 2014

Central London boating destination St Katharine Docks is hosting its annual event, The St Katharine Docks Classic Boat Festival during the weekend of 13th – 14th September 2014, 11am-6pm.

A collection of vessels including Dunkirk Little Ships, Thames sailing barges, steam tugs, Bermudian sloops, and wooden river cruisers will be present and this popular event is certain to be another exciting showcase of historic and classic sail and power vessels. Several vessels will be open for guided tours within the central marina and there will also be various dockside attractions.

Commemorative Cruise 2014 - Chatham, Kent

The 2014 Commemorative Cruise will see the Little Ships visiting Chatham on the River Medway. Over 20 Little Ships are expected to attend from the Medway, Thames, South and East Coast.

Little Ships will be mooring on the Home & Communities agency (HCA) pontoon which is located in Basin 1 by the HMS Chatham Bridge, access to the pontoon will be through MDL Chatham Maritime Marina lock on River Medway.

The programme of event will be as follows:

Saturday 24th - Free day

A Southampton Heritage Federation event to welcome the Dunkirk Little Ship Steam Tug ”Challenge” to the Port of Southampton

The Hampshire and Wight Trust for Maritime Archaeology on behalf of the Southampton Heritage Federation is delighted to announce the Southampton Maritime Festival, taking place on Sunday 5th and Monday 6th May 2013 at the Ocean Cruise Terminal, Southampton to celebrate the arrival of the Steam Tug “Challenge” following her major restoration, partly funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The lead organisation will be the Dunkirk Little Ships Restoration trust.
