Author requests research trip on Little Ship for novel

Hello there, I wonder if anyone can help -- or point me in the right direction to find help.

I'm an author currently writing a story featuring a (fictional) Dunkirk Little Ship. I would really appreciate being able to see one of a real Little Ship close-up, and be able to understand some of the ins and outs of sailing one of these boats -- from the basics of starting the engine (the smallest details are very important!), to any routine maintenance that needs to happen; navigational equipment on board, the galley, heads, etc etc...

My fictional Little Ship is a Thames cruiser -- so it'd be useful to have a little understanding of a similar real-life boat, if anyone can help.

I'm based in Oxfordshire, but can travel. Weekends probably best for me, but I will try my best to meet any offers.

Please do contact me either via the forum or by email - robert.a.crampton@gmail.com

Many thanks

Robert
