Location: Imperial War Museum London (in the Explore History Room, a new improved reading room where members of the public can get up close to history by searching the Museum's archives)
Purpose: To mark the upcoming 70th anniversary of the evacuation of Dunkirk, the Imperial War Museum will invite press photographers to take pictures of veterans near the Tamzine 'little ship' on display in the Museum. The Museum will also invite journalists to interview the veterans about their experiences.
The Veterans role: You will be photographed by media photographers near the Tamzine 'little ship' which is on display at the Museum and was involved in the evacuation of Dunkirk. The photo call will take place at around 1pm.
If you are able to arrive earlier, you will be interviewed by journalists about your experiences at Dunkirk. We cannot confirm in advance the kinds of questions media will ask, but they are likely to be about your individual experiences at Dunkirk.
The Museum may be able to assist with travel expenses.
