H.M. Queen’s Official 90th Birthday River Parade on the Thames - Saturday 11th June, 2016

The Association has been invited to support H.M. Queen’s Official 90th Birthday River Parade on the River Thames.

Organisers of the H.M. Queen’s Official 90th Birthday River Parade are working with Lord Sterling’s office arranging one of the landmark events to mark H.M. Queen’s Official 90th Birthday on Saturday 11th June 2016. This is to take the form of a River Parade on the Thames in central London, similar to that in 2012 marking the Diamond Jubilee, but on a very much smaller scale.

The organisers feel that the ‘Dunkirk Little Ships’ would truly enhance the entire spectacle for the main part of the flotilla and they have extended an invitation for the Dunkirk Little Ships to take part. The final decision on participation rests with the Port of London Authority.

It is envisaged that this will be a memorable occasion and it will definitely be covered live by television and the media.

It is hoped moorings will be made available in West India Quay - further information to follow.
