At the London Boat Show in 1934, just after completion at the Platt's Eyot (Hampton) Thornycroft yard. She bears the name 'Scolopendra,' a generic name that Thornycrofts used on unsold boats. She was voted 'Boat of The Show.' The name of her new owner is pinned to the hull of the boat.
